"As much as you might want to be a hermit, you won't meet The One while watching Love Island in a porridge-stained hoodie on your sofa."

How dare you call me out like this, Laura!! Ha, but in all seriousness, what an amazing year you've had. I hope writing it out like this helped you see the good in 2022. I did the same and was amazed to read it back. Hope you'll have lots more exciting and brilliant things on the list for next year!

My achievement was publishing 22 episodes of my podcast last year. I look forward to reading what you’ve learnt from creating your podcast.

You're right - it's good to look back sometimes, as well as looking forward. My achievement? Starting last year in a wheelchair and ending it by cycling fifty miles. And this year? Starting a new career and writing a better novel than the last one.

I love to read your blogs and look forward to many more of them this year!

Applauding you for your positivity, Laura. It is my 11th year since cancer, and although it is great to not have it reemerge at this point, there have been many other challenges since then. I love that your New Year's message is about living, not fighting to live. We get to declare our own victories, don't we? Wishing you the wins in life that matter most to you!
